What is the reason that most of the candidates who pass UPSC are from UP Bihar ?

It is true that at present most of the candidates appearing for IAS, IPS exams are from UP and Bihar but at the same time South India, Bengal, Delhi Vs.  No such good contribution remains.

Over the last 15 to 20 years in UP and Bihar, a mentality has developed that going to IAS, IPS or IFS in any way is due to social competition, social status, benefits in dowry in marriage, social  Entering the upper echelons and coming out of the overall poverty of Bihar UP, going to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and other affluent states to get a job and be happy and settled also plays a big part.  When I was at the academy in Mussoorie for IAS training, I saw that whoever gets Gujarat in the allotment after completing the training is considered lucky and has to give a party.

Candidates also see the direct benefit of the facilities, powers, status and many other indirect benefits which are not directly mentioned in IS or IPS.  For these reasons IAS, IPS preparation has been started in Bihar, UP since high school and special classes are run for it and a passion for hard work and passing exams in any way plays a big part in their success.

If we talk about Gujarat today, most of the IAS IPS working in Gujarat are from Bihar, UP, Delhi and South India.  Until now, the youth of Gujarat had no devotion to IAS but now for the last ten years, SPIPA has also played an important role in ensuring that a good number of young men and women from Gujarat join IAS, IPS every year.
