Many players felt the transition before the tournament

Even before the start of IPL-2021, many players were caught by Corona.  Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders, Devdutt Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Akshar Patel of Delhi Capitals, Enrich Norkhia and Daniel Sims have also been infected.

Concerns were heightened as players began to come in positive

In fact, there was already concern about the Mumbai-Sunrisers match to be played today.  Because Mumbai Indians played a match against CSK on Saturday and Balaji came in contact with them many times during the match.  And now Rising Saha of Sunrisers has also come out against the fact that Corona is positive.  KKR's Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrior have already tested positive.

Earlier, four players, including Ashwin, were dropped from the league

Earlier, four players, including Ravichandran Ashwin, were ruled out of IPL 2021 due to Corona.  Delhi legend Ashwin decided to quit the league due to family reasons.  Apart from him, three Australian cricketers have also left this season.  These include Andrew Tie of Rajasthan Royals and Ken Richardson and Adam Jampa of RCB.  Richardson and Jampa are still stranded in India as the plane has not yet arrived.  However, the BCCI has said that once the league is over, arrangements will be made to deliver all the players safely to their homes.
