What is the best way to prepare for GPSC interview ?

The question does not mention any special exam of GPSC, so I will answer according to my experience in the context of the most popular and tough exam of GPSC which is called 'Civil Services-Class-1/2'.

1.Introspect and get to know yourself: If you have reached the GPSC interview, the interviewer assumes that you have the knowledge;  They are more interested in knowing your personality.  Are you confused in a tense situation? Do you examine all aspects before answering?  Do you try to find a way out of trouble or do you try to avoid trouble?  - They check these matters within 20-2 minutes of the interview.  For that the candidate should try to identify himself peacefully.  Think about what your real "strengths" and "weaknesses" are. And yes, when you say all these things, speak the truth in a very natural way. The truth of your answer is tested by asking other questions on the same answer.

For example: One candidate said that I am going to teach poor students for 2 to 3 hours a day.  The members of the interview panel then let the talk go on saying "very good". After 8-10 minutes, a member asked the candidate to tell us about your daily routine from morning to evening.  Not to mention the time of 2-3 hours of teaching. This may prove that you were lying in the beginning.

Study everything in your profile in depth: get to know even the smallest details related to your work-experience, your college, your district and its problems etc.

For example, if I had worked in Reliance before, I also had questions about the movie 'GURU' - which is based on Dhirubhai Ambani.

Give mock-interviews: How do you speak, what is your body-language, what are your gestures.  Etc. Only other people can tell you.  So it will be beneficial to give 2-3 mock interviews after your 'Mains' are cleared.

Learn to express your thoughts briefly and answer 'to -the -point': Suppose you are asked the question "What are the three main problems of India's democracy?"  So name only three problems directly in the answer.  "India is the biggest democracy ...... India is a very large country ... There is unity in diversity in India .... Democracy means by people-for people -......"  No need.

At the moment you may think that this is a trivial matter.  Such a mistake does not happen to me.  But you have prepared the mains by writing the answer like this so that sometimes the same format is remembered in the interview, so you have to practice a little differently for this.

So in a nutshell, for the interview, I will tell you not to know something new, just to learn to present what you know in a new way.
