A big decision has been taken regarding the CBSE board exams of Std. 10 and 12 due to Corona virus.  Std. 10 examination has been canceled by CBSE and 12th examination has been postponed.  The new date of the 12th exam will be announced by a review meeting on June 1.  The decision was taken after today's meeting with PM Modi.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, Std. 10 students will be given promotion through internal assessment.  If a student is not satisfied with the assessment, he / she will be able to take the exam after the condition of Covid-19 becomes normal.  Earlier, several leaders, including former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, had demanded the cancellation of the CBSE exam over the corona virus infection.

With the Central Board of Education (CBSE) canceling the exam, a decision can now be taken in Gujarat as well.  It is possible that in Gujarat also the board exam of standard 10 may be canceled and students may be promoted in standard 11.  In view of Corona's case, the date of Standard 12 Examination (GSEB) may be postponed.

Notably, this was preceded by a transition between the growing cores.  Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has claimed that the 10th and 12th exams will be held on time.  Std.  CM Vijay Rupani claimed that the government was considering mass promotion from 1st to 9th.
