Introduction:

The state has suffered extensive damage to agriculture as well as horticultural crops due to Hurricane "Taute" which struck the state in May this year after 3 years. The storm has affected agricultural and horticultural crops in the affected talukas of 14 districts of the state as well as destroyed fruit trees. In the hurricane affected talukas, summer irrigated crops like sesame, millet, mug, urad, paddy, groundnut, onion, vegetables etc. and rainfed horticultural crops like banana, papaya have been damaged. In addition, perennial horticultural crops such as mango, coconut, chickpea, lemon, guava, pomegranate etc. have been extensively damaged.

In view of the situation arising in the affected districts and talukas on the basis of the survey conducted by the District Panchayat at the district level, it is necessary to provide assistance to the farmers in accordance with the SDRF (Revenue Department) in addition to the stormy agricultural relief package from the state budget. Was.

Resolution:

In view of the situation arising out of the "Tau Te Hurricane" that occurred in the state in May 2012-13, it has been decided to provide "Hurricane Agriculture Relief Package" from the state budget in addition to SDRF to the districts and talukas mentioned in the accompanying form as per the following conditions. The farmers involved in the affected talukas of 14 districts of the state included in the attached form will have to pay the following assistance in proportion to the area under cultivation.

Payable Assistance and Assistance Standards:

Assistance will be available only in case of loss of 3% or more in summer irrigated crops and horticultural crops.

This assistance will be available per account (as per village sample no. 4 / a) up to a maximum of 5 hectares. > This assistance will not be available for losses less than 5%.

A) Summer irrigated crops / horticultural crops other than perennial horticultural crops (e.g. summer crops / irrigated crops like sesame, mug, millet, banana, papaya etc.) per hectare as per SDRF norms
