New Delhi : Digital payments have grown exponentially in the country during the Corona era and the use of mobile wallets has increased rapidly. People have increased the use of Paytm Wallet to buy goods from grocery stores, book electric-water bills, gas cylinders, recharge mobiles and DTH, or order online. People transact with credit card money in a Paytm wallet. This is not good news for you if you also use Paytm for normal transactions. The use of Paytm has once again become expensive.
There is a charge for adding rupee to a credit card
According to the Paytm website, if a user adds rupee to a Paytm wallet by credit card, he will have to pay an additional charge of 2.5 per cent. This rule has come into force from 15 January 2021. If you add rupee through American Express credit card, you will have to pay 3% extra charge. Many users say that Paytm charges 2.07 per cent for adding rupee from a credit card to a Paytm wallet. So other users say it is charging 4.07%.
Since when is there an extra charge
Earlier, from October 15, 2020, if a person added rupee to his Paytm wallet with a credit card, he had to pay an additional charge of 2%. If you add Rs 100 from a credit card to a Paytm wallet, you would have to pay Rs 102 from a credit card. However, there is no extra charge for paying through Paytm at any merchant site.

Don't feel charged in these matters
There is no charge for transferring from Paytm to Paytm Wallet. So there is no charge for adding rupee to debit card or paytm wallet through net banking. The company had earlier changed the rules on January 1, 2020. The company started charging 2% for adding more than Rs 10,000 to a credit card in a month.
