The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is the twelfth release of the Cricket World Cup, a worldwide cricket competition challenged by men's national groups from the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is being facilitated by England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July 2019. Australia are the shielding champions. 

The facilitating rights were granted in April 2006, after England and Wales pulled back from the offering to have the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, which was held in Australia and New Zealand. The primary match was played at The Oval while the last will be played at Lord's. It is the fifth time that the Cricket World Cup is being held in England and Wales, following the 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 World Cups. 

The configuration for the competition is a solitary gathering of 10 groups, with each group playing the other nine once, and the main four toward the finish of the gathering stage advancing to the semi-finals. The main semi-last will be played between the groups completing first and fourth in the association, while the second semi-last will be played between the groups completing second and third. 

Given the expansion of ICC Full Members since the last World Cup, from 10 to 12, this is the main World Cup to be challenged without the majority of the Full Member countries being available. Moreover, the quantity of members was decreased from the past World Cup's 14 members, and since none of the groups from ICC Associate Member countries endured the passing competition, this is the primary World Cup to include no Associate Members.
