So far when a group member shares a reaction to an image in an automatic album, it is not possible to see in which media the reaction has taken place without opening the album. Instead, WhatsApp shows which members of the group have shared which reaction. Which means users have to open the album and look at each image to know the details.

WhatsApp is working on a new update

Now the messaging app is working on making it better. Simply put, a future update to WhatsApp's message reaction feature will allow users to know which image in the album has received a response without looking at each image one by one. Now WABetaInfo said in its latest report, however, that we do not know which media got the reaction without opening an automatic album. WhatsApp will let us see detailed process information in the future by showing media thumbnails.

The report also states that while this screenshot shows an image of WhatsApp for the iOS interface, the company is also working on making similar changes to WhatsApp for Android and WhatsApp for desktop apps. As far as availability is concerned, the feature is still under development and nothing is known about when it will be available on WhatsApp apps.
