How is a light bill calculated ?
The first unit to calculate the unit with KWH in your meter shows the total unit usage. Subtracting the unit of the previous bill gives the current consumption unit. In the photo below you can see the current unit and the rear unit. The punctuation you get by subtraction is calculated as follows.

The unit is calculated by 4 different types of charges which include (1) fixed charge, (2) energy charge, (3) fuel charge and (4) electricity charge.
(1) Fixed charge: Fixed charge is printed in the bill. This charge depends on how many kilovolts our connection is.
(2) Energy Charge: Energy Charge In rural areas, if 50 units are consumed, Rs. 4.65 is charged, if 50 units are consumed, then Rs. 3.10 and for the next 150 units, Rs. 3.75 is charged. An energy charge of Rs. 1.50 is levied for 30 units.
(2) Fuel charge: The rate of fuel charge varies from time to time. This charge is given in our bill.
(2) Electricity charges: Electricity charges are fixed charges, energy charges and a certain percentage of the total charge of the fuel charge. What percentage of the charge will be charged is given in the bill.
Now all these four charges will be totaled so we will get the bill payable amount. The amount received will be deducted from the next outstanding or deposited amount
