Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is a state-owned bus service provider for bus services in Gujarat as well as between Gujarat and neighboring states.  GSRTC came into existence on May 1, 1901 with the formation of the State of Gujarat.  Starting with 3 departments, 3 depots and 3 departmental workshops, GSRTC today has expanded to 12 departments, 12 depots, 4 bus stations, 15 pickup stands and 2000 buses.
